Coworking Spaces in Mumbai

Coworking Spaces in Mumbai: what to expect

Mumbai is India's most expensive office market and its most varied: BKC and Lower Parel for finance and media, Andheri East for everything near the airport, Powai and Goregaon for tech, and Navi Mumbai and Thane for large back-office floors at half the price. Flexible space has grown fastest in Andheri–Goregaon, where Grade A supply is newer.

Plan around the local trains and the new Metro lines. Line 3 (Aqua) now connects BKC, Worli and Colaba underground; Line 1 runs Versova–Ghatkopar through Andheri. Teams commuting from the western suburbs prefer Andheri and Goregaon; from the central line, Powai and Vikhroli.

How to choose a coworking space in Mumbai

Shortlist by commute first — time saved every day usually matters more than a slightly cheaper seat.

Check the lock-in and notice period for your plan before you sign.
Visit on a weekday afternoon. Noise, AC and Wi-Fi are only real then.
Confirm round-the-clock access if your team works with US or EU clients.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a coworking space in Mumbai cost?

Dedicated desks listed in Mumbai range ₹9,999–₹24,999 a month, across 16 centres. Private cabins listed in Mumbai range ₹11,999–₹62,000 a month; some operators quote cabins per seat and others per cabin, so check what each listing covers. Prices vary by locality and operator; Desk Daddy shows the operator's price wherever the operator publishes one.

Is GST charged on coworking memberships?

Yes, GST is charged on coworking memberships. If your company is GST-registered you can usually claim it as input credit. Ask whether a quote includes GST before comparing.

Can I register my company at a coworking space in Mumbai?

Most operators allow it on dedicated-desk and cabin plans and will issue a NOC, rent agreement and utility bill for MCA and GST registration. Hot-desk plans often don't include this — check the listing.

What is the minimum lock-in?

Lock-in and notice periods differ by operator and plan. Hot desks are often month-to-month, while dedicated desks and cabins usually carry a longer lock-in and a security deposit. Check the terms on each quote.

Do coworking spaces in Mumbai have parking?

It depends on the building. Centres in business parks often have car parking (sometimes paid) and two-wheeler parking; standalone buildings may not. Ask us to confirm parking for any listing.

Can I see the space before signing?

Yes. Book a free tour through any listing and a Desk Daddy consultant will confirm a slot with the operator.

Does Desk Daddy charge brokerage?

No. Operators pay us a referral fee; you pay the operator directly, and we ask for a better rate on your behalf.

How quickly can I move in?

It depends on the operator and the plan. Desks can often be ready soon after KYC; cabins can take longer if furniture or branding changes are needed.
