Desk Daddy lists 531 workspaces from 18 operators in 15 cities. This page explains where every listing, price and date on the site comes from, and what we leave out.
Where the data comes from
- Operators' own websites. Our crawler, DeskDaddyBot, reads the public page each operator publishes for each centre: name, address, map location, amenities, plans offered, the prices the page states, opening hours and the nearest metro station the operator names. It follows each site's robots.txt.
- Operators directly. Operators can send us their centres and rates through List your space.
Every price is stored with the page it came from and the date it was read. Photos are linked from the operator's page for that centre and credited to the operator; we do not re-host them.
How often it is checked
The crawler runs about every 4 hours. Each centre and listing page shows when its prices were last checked (“Prices checked on …”): the last time we read the operator's page. The sitemap's last-modified date for each page is the same date.
Quality bar
A centre is listed only when we have its name, operator, locality, a full street address or map coordinates, at least one photo from the operator, and five amenities or a list of plans. Centres that duplicate another listing, or whose address contradicts the city the operator files them under (for example a PIN code in another city), are held back until we check them by hand. A price the crawler cannot read with confidence is held for review and not shown.
What “Price on request” means
The operator does not publish a price for that plan on its website. We never estimate, average or fill in a price: the listing says Price on request and we ask the operator for a quote when you enquire.
Ranges, medians and reports
“From” prices, ranges, medians and counts on city, locality and metro-station pages are computed when the site is built, from the published prices of the centres listed on that page. Prices exclude GST unless the operator says otherwise. Some operators quote private cabins per seat and others per cabin. The monthly price reports use the same data and keep each month as it was at the end of that month.
Metro stations
A centre's nearest metro station is the one its operator names. We show a distance only when the operator states one, mark a station as upcoming when the operator does, and drop a station that belongs to another city.
Report an error
If a price, address or detail is wrong, email support@deskdaddy.in with the page link and what is wrong. We check it against the operator's page and correct it. Operators can update their own listings the same way.
